Adriana Malavé (she/they) is a visual artist and community herbalist living and working in Oakland, CA. She received a BA in Art Practice from UC Berkeley focusing mainly in sculpture and installation art. After graduation, Adriana shifted to painting and illustration, diving first into hyperrealism then shifting to minimal abstraction. Endlessly inspired by nature and the reciprocity within her ecosystems, her artwork is guided by color palettes, structures, and forms found within nature.

Her newest works are intuitive meditations with intentionally visited landscapes and their native species, often integrating small doses of plant infusions within the pigments. She recently completed an art residency in her ancestral land of Gran Canaria, and continues to build a body of work based on the endemic plant species, archaeological iconography, and architectural patterns researched there.
