Adriana Malavé (they/them) is a visual artist and herbalism enthusiast living and working in Oakland, CA. They received a BA in Art Practice from UC Berkeley focusing mainly in sculpture and installation art. After graduation, Adriana shifted to painting and illustration, diving first into realism then shifting to minimal abstraction. Endlessly inspired by nature and the reciprocity within ecosystems, their artwork is guided by color palettes, structures, and forms found within nature.

Many of their works are intuitive meditations with intentionally visited landscapes and native species, often integrating small doses of plant infusions within the pigments. In 2022, they completed a month-long art residency in their ancestral land of Gran Canaria, and continues to build a body of work based on the endemic plant species, archaeological iconography, and architectural patterns researched there.
